London Vacation Rental Apartment...a home from home experience...

Kennington is situated south of the River Thames in central London. Kennington is a very up-and-coming area, extremely safe with plenty of local pubs, bars and restaurants. You can walk from Johnnysplace to the Embankment (for the Houses of Parliament) in 15 minutes, a lovely walk to get familiarised with the area. Opposite Johnnysplace you have beautiful Cleaver Square (one of oldest squares in London) where you can enjoy the lovely Georgian terrace houses, play a game of boules with the locals or have a pint and something to eat at the very cosy and charming Prince of Wales pub. Kennington park is 5 minutes away if you fancy a walk or jogging. The world famous Oval cricket ground is less than 10 minutes away.

Kennington is a great location to be based at when visiting London. The tube station (Kennington) is 3 minutes away which takes you to the West End or the City in 3/4 stops (less than 10 minutes). You also can get to the Southbank cultural hub in one stop (Waterloo).

If you like visiting local markets then you are in luck as one of the most famous delicattesen and food markets is only 5 minutes away on the tube: Borough market (go on a Saturday morning to enjoy a delicious and healthy breakfast !). On Sundays I would recommend you pay a visit to the fantastic Spitalfields market (make sure you also visit the smaller funkier market in the Truman Building) and to the very charming Columbia Road flower market (the vibe from 11am to 2pm is absolutely superb!)...and you can get there in just 15 minutes door to door!
