Q: How do you reach Johnnys Place from Kennington Underground Station?

A: When you come out of Kennington tube station the main road in front of you is Kennington Park Road, go left and Johnnysplace is a couple of minutes away on the left hand side.

Q: Are there shops and restaurants nearby?

A: Opposite Kennington tube station there is a small mini market where you can buy the basics (bread, milk, water, etc). There is a Tesco supermarket less than 10 minutes walking. Cross Kennington Park Road, go to the end of Cleaver Square/Cleaver Street, walk left to the traffic lights, cross Kennington Road and then walk left a couple of minutes on Kennington Lane. On the way to Tesco you will see a good selection of restaurants and gastro pubs (the Prince of Wales pub in Cleaver Square is a lovely traditional English pub which serves food during lunch and in the evening). You also have the option of ordering a take away (Pizza, chinese, thai, etc) from Johnnysplace, there are menus to choose from in the kitchen.

Q: What time is check in?

A: Providing there is no one staying at Johnnysplace the previous night then you are welcome to check in before 1pm. If Johnnyplace is booked the previous night of your arrival then the check in time will be between 1 and 2pm. Some guests who want to check in very early (ie 8:00am or 9:00am) opt to also book the previous night as a safeguard. For very early arrivals (who haven't booked the previous night) and also very late arrivals (late in the evening) we would appreciate if you could bring a couple of souvenirs from your home country (this is optional of course, we have already received lovely souvenirs from Canada and Iceland...don't let your country down!)

Q: What time is check out?

A: Likewise, if you have a late flight and we do not have guests booked in the apartment that night you are welcome to leave at your leisure; otherwise we request that you leave at around noon (12:00am).

Q: is there wireless Internet connection?

A: Yes there is. You will find the wireless serial number written on a note located on the back of the front door. If for any reason your laptop doesn't pick it up, then use the white cable from the Internet broadband box located in the lounge room.

Q: Is Kennington a safe area?

A: Kennington is a residential area which is very safe at all hours. Kennington Park Road is a main road with beautiful period houses dating to 1790. If you go left from Johnnysplace, Kennington park is around the corner where you can go for a walk or jogging. Inside the park there is a lovely coffee place and a free entry landscaped garden with all types of flowers (good to check out if you are a keen gardener!).

A: You can walk to Vauxhall gay village in 10 minutes. A very safe walk day or night. Just follow the same route as if you are walking to Tesco's supermarket, keep on walking on that same road and in a few minutes you will see the Vauxhall Market Tavern on your right hand side.
